Comeman Crystal Mines are located 16 miles north of Hot Springs on HWY 7 north. They are open daily 8am til dark, and guarantee that you will find crystals or they will refund your $10 fee. Dump trucks and front-end loaders bring loads up from the mine and guests sort through the loads looking for clear and white quartz crystal, adularia and calcite.

Fiddler's Ridge Bear Mountain Quartz Crystal Mine
Located 20 minutes from Fiddler's Ridge Rock Shop the Bear Mountain Mine is open daily 9am to 4pm. Fees are $20 adult and $10 child 7-12. You pay your fees at the rock shop and they give you directions to the mine. There are lots of pictures on their website.

Wegner Crystal Ranch
They have a group dig fee of $24 per person for groups of ten or more that includes transportation and a guide. There are two mine sites for group digs: The Phantom Mine that produces rare Phantom Crystals; and the Crystal Forest Mine, a 40 acre mine with gem quality crystals. For individual digging, they have a Gemstone Sluice and a Tailings Area. The Gemstone Sluice includes equipment and a pail that is guaranteed to contain gemstones and costs $14 for two people. The Tailings Area is a keep-what-you-find area. Cost is $10.50 adulst and $6.60 kids and seniors. They are open 8am-4pm weekdays in winter and daily in peak season. Crater of Diamonds State Park
Located one hour from Hot Springs near Murfreesboro, Arkansas is the only diamond producing area in North America. Crater of Diamonds State Park is the only diamond-producing site in the world that is open to the public. The park features a 37-acre field of diamond bearing soil plowed periodically
when weather allows. Diamond mining tools are available for rent or purchase. Diamonds and other
minerals are identified at the Diamond Discovery Center. Fees are $6.50 adults and $3.50 children. There is also a campground, restaurant, gift shop, museum and water park. The park is open daily.
