The Lakes
Hot Springs is surrounded by beautiful lakes. Lake Hamilton is within the city limits, and Lake Catherine, Lake Ouachita, DeGray Lake and Lake Greeson are all within an hour's drive or less.
Parks
Hot Springs is the only city in the nation that is also a National Park. We also have a number of stae parks near by. Lake Catherine State Park, Lake Ouachita State Park and Lake Degray State Park are all less than thirty minutes from the city. Crater Of Diamonds State Park, America's only diamond mine, is an hour away. Hot springs also boasts a number of city parks, and an active city parks department that provides lots of activities for the people of Hot Springs.
Camping
There are lots of beautiful places to camp in and around Hot Springs.
Hiking
Surrounded by mountains and forests, Hot Springs has a number of excellent hiking trails that range from very easy to difficult.
Fishing
With all those lakes, there must be fishing, and Hot Springs has some of the best.
Mining
The Hot Springs area is a geological wonder. From quartz crystal to diamonds, you'll find plenty of opportunities to mine-your-own.
Boating
Boats are everywhere in Hot Springs. If you don't have one, you can rent one at a number of locations.
Horseback Riding
Riding stables abound. Trail rides through the beautiful Ouachita Mountains are populer activites in Hot Springs.
